Meet Waymond
Waymond Fermon is a lifelong public servant, longtime Indio resident, correctional officer, father, and proud representative of District 2 on the Indio City Council.
First elected in 2018, Waymond made history as Indio's first Black American mayor. He has helped lead the city through a period of tremendous growth while remaining focused on the neighborhoods, families, small businesses, seniors, young people, and working residents who make Indio special.
