Public Safety

  • Helped deliver Indio's new Public Safety Campus
  • Continues supporting staffing, training, equipment, and resources to keep residents and first responders safe

Infrastructure

  • Advanced major road, bridge, interchange, park, transportation, and energy projects
  • Avenue 44 bridge, Indio Sports Park, Avenue 42 substation
  • Planned Monroe and Jackson Street improvements

Economic Development

  • Helped attract businesses, restaurants, housing, entertainment, and more than $200 million in public and private investment
  • Supported Downtown Indio, the new City Hall, small businesses, tourism, and local jobs

Affordable Housing

  • Supported more than 2,000 affordable homes completed, approved, or in development
  • Housing for seniors, veterans, young adults, and working families

Inclusion

  • Helped bring Indio's Pride Festival and Black History celebrations to the city
  • Declared racism a public health crisis
  • Created military banners, supported Hunter Lopez Day
  • Expanded recognition of local residents and community leaders

Environment

  • Worked alongside many organizers and women advocates, Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz, tribal leaders, conservation groups, and regional partners to support the designation of the Chuckwalla National Monument
  • Helped spearhead the efforts to ban data centers in the City of Indio, protecting the city's water, power supply, environment, and quality of life

Youth and Families

  • Helped deliver the Indio Sports Park and Youth Opportunity Center
  • Supporting schools, recreation, mentoring, youth recognition, and safer routes around schools

Homelessness

  • Chair of the CVAG Homelessness Committee
  • Coachella Valley Rescue Mission board member
  • Supports housing, prevention, treatment, outreach, accountability, and regional cooperation
